Reasons Why You Sweat So Much

Sweating is the release of a salty liquid from the body's sweat glands. This process is also called perspiration.

Sweating is an essential function that helps your body stay cool. Sweat is commonly found under the arms, on the feet, and on the palm of the hands.

Sweat is made in sweat glands under the surface of the skin, and it comes out of tiny holes in the skin called pores. Sweat is mostly water but it also contains some salts. Sweating is controlled by the autonomic nervous system, the part of of the nervous system that is not under your control. Because sweating is the body's way of regulating temperature, people tend to sweat more when its hot outside

The amounts of sweat glands a person posses determines how much they sweat. A person is born with two to four million sweat glands. The glands become fully active during puberty. Although women  have more sweat glands than men, that of men are more active. People can sweat when exercising, angry, or afraid.

Sweating is natural. However, some people tend to sweat excessively and this can be very embarrassing. Sometimes, some people sweat so badly that you think they just came out of the rain. Excessive sweating is called Hyperhidrosis, which means a person sweats more than normal.

How To Deal With Excessive Sweating

1) Try using antiperspirants. There is a difference between antiperspirants and deodorants. Antiperspirants reduce the release of sweat, deodorants however mask unpleasant smells.Sweat does not smell. It is only sweaty clothes that are not changed that may become smelly.

2) Avoid clothes that easily show sweat marks. Black clothes easily hide sweat marks.

3)Wear loose fitting clothing. Avoid clothes made of Lycra and Nylon.

3) Change your stocks at least twice a day if you are a man

4) Don't always wear shoes that cover the feet. This is because sweat gathers there too. Sometimes wear shoes that permits air to penetrate them. Always avoid sports shoes. They are less breathable than normal and they would retain sweat.

5)Avoid sport shoes or boots. These are often less breathable and are more likely to retain sweat on the feet

As stated earlier, sweat is a completely natural thing. Every living human sweats. However, if yours is in the excessive, follow these tips. Also see a doctor to know if its anything serious that could damage your health.
